Swim Across America (SAA) is a nationally lauded nonprofit that has raised $85 million for cancer research and clinical trials in cities across the country through open water swimming.
Led by CEO Rob Butcher, a swimmer and 2000 US Olympic Trial competitor; husband; father; boss and executive managing a robust and persevering Board, SAA is one of the most respected foundations in the country.
Nancy Tao, under her Tao Communications brand and SAA's fearless leadership, led the 2018 Atlanta Open Water Swim and raised nearly $800K benefiting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's AFLAC Cancer & Blood Disorders Center. Her team oversaw event and venue management; fundraising; corporate sponsorship; marketing and communications; beneficiary relations and an incredible community of swimmers and volunteers. And with the grace of one particular swimmer, the organization claimed "Hope has no finish line" as the ultimate message.
